Privacy Policy

🏫 Learnify Academy — www.learnify.bh 📅 Last updated: June 2026 📍 Applicable to visitors and app users worldwide

This Privacy Policy describes how Learnify Academy (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information about you when you visit www.learnify.bh (the “Site”) and when you use the Exam Paper Builder mobile application (the “App”). Please read this policy carefully. The dedicated Mobile Application section below explains how the App handles data and governs the App where it differs from the website terms. By accessing or using the Site or the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these practices. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

App Mobile Application — Exam Paper Builder

This section applies specifically to the Exam Paper Builder mobile application (the “App”) published by Learnify Academy on Google Play. Where this section differs from the website policy below, this section governs the App.

No account required

The App does not require you to register, sign in, or create an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the App.

Local, on-device storage

All content you create in the App — exam papers, your question bank, institute details, logo, and settings — is stored only on your own device. This information is not transmitted to, collected by, or accessible to Learnify Academy. Removing the App or clearing its data permanently deletes this content from your device.

Files you generate

PDFs and other files you export are created on your device. When you choose to share or save a file, this happens through your device’s own sharing options (for example Files, Drive, email, or messaging apps), entirely under your control. We do not receive copies of these files.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, a Google service. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process certain device information, including your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, general (non-precise) location, and app-interaction data. This data is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. You can reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings, and manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Purchasing the App’s Premium upgrade removes all advertisements.

Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The optional Premium upgrade is processed by Google Play Billing. All payment is handled by Google; the App never sees or stores your card or payment details. Your purchase status is managed through your Google account.

Version checks

On launch, the App may retrieve a small file from our server containing only the minimum supported app version, so that we can notify you when an update is required. This request contains no personal information.

Children’s privacy

The App is intended for teachers, tutors, and educational institutions, and is directed at users aged 18 and over. It is not designed for or directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children through the App.

Data we collect directly: none Other than the advertising data processed by Google AdMob described above, Learnify Academy does not itself collect, store, or transmit any personal information from App users.

For any questions about the App and privacy, contact us at www.learnify.bh/contactus.

05 Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. We use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons and pixel tags) on the Site. Below is a summary of the categories we use:

How to manage cookies

You can control and manage cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse new cookies, delete existing cookies, or be warned before a cookie is stored. Refer to your browser’s help documentation for instructions:

Please note that disabling or deleting cookies may affect the functionality of the Site and some features may not work as intended.

06 Google AdSense & Advertising

We participate in the Google AdSense programme to display advertisements on the Site. (Advertising within our mobile App is served by Google AdMob and is described in the Mobile Application section above.) This programme uses cookies and tracking technologies operated by Google LLC (and its partners) to show ads that are relevant to your interests.

How Google AdSense works

Google AdSense places advertising cookies on your device to:

  • Serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites across the internet (“interest-based” or “personalised” advertising)
  • Limit the number of times you see the same ad
  • Measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
  • Prevent fraudulent ad clicks

Google’s advertising cookies

Google uses cookies including, but not limited to, the DoubleClick cookie (IDE) and similar identifiers to track your activity across websites that display Google ads. This enables Google and its advertising partners to serve interest-based advertisements.

Important disclosure Google may use data collected through AdSense cookies to create profiles about you and show personalised ads on the Site and on other websites. We do not control Google’s data collection or use practices under this programme.

Non-personalised advertisements

Where required by law (for example, for users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), Google will only serve personalised advertisements on the Site with your prior consent. If you have not given consent, or where consent is not required, Google may still serve non-personalised (contextual) ads based solely on the content of the page.

07 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to help us understand how visitors engage with the Site. Google Analytics places cookies on your device that collect anonymous, aggregated data such as:

  • Number of visitors and page views
  • Session duration and pages per session
  • Approximate country or city of origin
  • Device and browser type
  • Traffic source (how you arrived at the Site)

This information is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers that may be located outside your country of residence. Google Analytics data is used solely for the purpose of improving our Site and understanding audience engagement; it is not used to personally identify you.

We have enabled IP anonymisation (IP masking) in Google Analytics, which means the last portion of your IP address is masked before storage, and your full IP address is never written to disk by Google.

Opting out of Google Analytics

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Alternatively, you can block the Google Analytics cookies through your browser settings.

08 Third-Party Service Providers

We engage trusted third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Site and App (e.g., hosting, analytics, advertising, payments). These parties have access to information only as necessary to perform their functions and are contractually prohibited from using it for other purposes. Our key third-party data processors include:

We are not responsible for the data practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

09 International Data Transfers

Our Site is operated from Bahrain. If you visit from a country within the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside your jurisdiction, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Where data is transferred outside the EEA or UK, our third-party service providers (such as Google LLC) use appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, to protect your information in accordance with applicable data protection law.

10 Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, and reporting requirements.

  • Contact enquiries: Records of communications are retained for up to 2 years from the date of last contact, then securely deleted.
  • Analytics data: Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted from Google’s servers.
  • Advertising cookies: The Google DoubleClick (IDE) cookie has a lifespan of up to 13 months; other advertising cookies vary. Refer to Google’s cookie policy for current lifespans.
  • Server log files: Typically retained for up to 90 days for security and operational purposes.
  • App content: Content you create in the Exam Paper Builder App is stored only on your device and is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App; we do not hold copies.

When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised in accordance with our internal data retention procedures.

11 Children’s Privacy

Our study materials are intended for students in Grades 1–12, who typically range in age from approximately 6 to 18 years. These resources are designed to be used under the guidance of parents, guardians, and teachers. The Exam Paper Builder App is a tool for teachers and tutors and is directed at users aged 18 and over.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by local law, such as under the EU GDPR) without verifiable parental or guardian consent. Neither the Site nor the App includes registration forms, account creation, or any feature that would prompt a child to provide personal information.

Third-party advertising served via Google AdSense and Google AdMob is configured to comply with applicable policies regarding advertising to children and minors.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us without your consent, please contact us immediately using the details in Section 16. We will take prompt steps to delete such information from our records.
